SNZI is pleased to announce a collaboration with INNEA, a Biotechnology company located inValladolid Spain. This collaboration involves the storing, maintaining and propagating of plant material for the European Union, Turkey and North Africa.INNEA will become a European hub for SNZI’s kiwifruit plant material in this region and beyond.
This collaboration represents a significant milestone in SNZI’s international expansion strategy.
H14 is an easy to grow, gold kiwifruit requiring only 400 chill factor hours, premium large fruit qualities coupled with no requirement for hydrogen cyanamide H14 is gaining international recognition. An ideal solution to environmental sustainability and our first variety offering.
Our next steps will be to ensure the PSA resistant kiwifruit varieties, KZ41 and KZ120 are effectively supplied to commercial growers under regulated and biosecure conditions. WithINNEA’s propagation facilities and sophisticated tissue culture, SNZI hopes to expedite the introduction of naturally disease resistant kiwifruit to areas where PSA is currently a threat.
This collaboration aligns SNZI with increasing regulatory demands for sustainable and low chemical horticultural solutions in Europe and reaffirms SNZI’s dedication to global sustainability.
The collaboration withINNEA to establish local propagation puts SNZI in a strong position to increase availability and adoption of these next generation kiwifruit varieties across Europe and beyond.
